Job Description

As a valued team member, you’ll be at the forefront of creating unforgettable experiences for our current and future members. Your shift will be a dynamic blend of warm greetings, epic high fives, mastering the art of phone etiquette, guiding new members through sign-ups and tours, and, of course, ensuring our space sparkles with cleanliness.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Welcome, greet, and interact with all members, prospective members, and guests
  • Provide membership information and facilitate tours
  • Strive to continuously improve the member experience, revenues, and retention rates.
  • Maintain solid product knowledge and awareness of all product information, merchandise, fitness equipment functions and services.
  • Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintains proper cash accountabilities at POS registers.
  • Understands the opportunities of the business: every phone call, prospects walking through the door, in and out of the club.
  • Complete daily cleaning tasks and ensure gym presentation is always extraordinarily clean
  • Assist in Membership sign-ups, professionally answering phones, point-of-sale transactions, and addressing member concern
  • Make and serve smoothies, if applicable, ensuring they meet customer specifications and maintaining quality standards
  • Assist with billing issues and disputes and escalate to leadership when needed
  • Professionally greet members and guests
  • Scan membership IDs upon member’s entrance
  • Respond to member questions, concerns, and discrepancies
  • Update members’ accounts if needed
  • Maintain an orderly and clean work area
  • Ability to work opening/closing/mid-day shifts
  • Ability to tour members and sell memberships if required
  • Provide the highest level of customer service to members, prospective members, and guests
  • Aid other departments with other related tasks
  • Regularly review and complete all training materials and updates in the Operations Manual
  • Attend and participate in regularly scheduled team meetings

Required

  • CPR, First Aid and AED Training
  • Previous customer service experience
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Team-based mindset with the capacity to receive and deliver feedback
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in person and over the phone

Physical requirements:

  • Able to read, write, and speak clearly in English
  • Touring the gym: walking and climbing stairs
  • Bending, kneeling, and repetitive arm movement
  • Standing for long periods
  • Computer operations
  • Ability to lift at least 50lbs
