The Workout Club is currently seeking Main Studio Instructors, including but not limited to strength, conditioning, dance, cardio, sculpt, boxing and martial arts. The position entails the following responsibilities. We are looking for an experienced fitness instructor who knows they have the power to change lives for the better! Working with people of all ages, you will lead group fitness classes to motivate members to move their bodies and achieve their fitness goals.

The Fit Pros at The Workout Club lead various high-intensity, high energy exercise and engaging classes and activities designed to improve participants’ physical fitness and overall well-being. Mind-Body Formats: Yoga, Barre, Pilates
Job Description:
- Deliver the Workout Club Experience to our members in each class in a safe yet and motivating manner
- At the beginning of every class, they will warmly welcome all participants and introduce themselves
- Adhere to the description and designed structure of the class and modify the intensity for the specific level of the participants when necessary
- Instruct participants on effective workout methods, proper form, and techniques correcting and coaching them as needed in a positive manner.
- Continuously monitor the exercise intensity throughout the duration of the class
- Deliver classes within Workout Club guidelines, arriving to each class early and prepared with any necessary equipment and music with adherence to licensing agency requirements
- They will follow class protocol and club’s teaching standards to ensure the member’s safety
- Even when not teaching their class, they will help promote group fitness classes and encourage new ones to attend their class
- Ensure class begins and ends on time
- Teach respective classes on a regular basis and keep subbing to a minimum
- Communicate with Group Fitness Director and Management on member feedback, equipment and operational status, scheduling, and subbing
- Build a strong rapport and sense of community with members by maintaining a consistent coaching schedule and providing safe and motivating sessions for participants
- Complete Workout Club onboarding and training materials before teaching live sessions and maintain knowledge of updates
- Maintain Workout Club cleanliness standards during and after sessions and ensure gym presentation is always extraordinarily clean
- Stay updated on fitness industry trends and continuously improve instructional techniques
- Ensure that their certification is always current and add additional certifications whenever possible
- Teach a minimum of two classes per week

- Must be well-versed in basic anatomy, kinesiology, contraindicated exercises, exercise modifications for all populations and ACSM Guidelines for frequency, intensity, duration, and mode
- Must be eager to learn and continue professional development and education
- Must be friendly, vibrant, and outgoing
- Increase attendance through knowledge, skill, and emotional connection.
- Willing to teach at least two classes a week.
- Create community through positive interactions before and after class
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- Program design experience preferred
- Previous group fitness instruction
- Ability to maintain appropriate confidentiality and build rapport with others
- Instruct members on proper techniques and equipment use
- Enforce Workout Club rules and regulations
- Organized self-starter with effective problem-solving and multitasking skills
- Ability to operate basic Audio/Visual equipment
- Excellent team-based communication with the capacity to receive and deliver feedback
- Ability to motivate a large group while providing cueing to all fitness levels
- 1-5 years’ experience as a Fitness Professional
- Must possess a current Group Fitness Certification (ACE, AFAA, NASM, ACSM are acceptable)
- CPR/AED certification or willingness to become certified within 90 days of being hired
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires the ability to perform an aerobic activity for the duration of a class. Bending and moving is done frequently. Employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Physical activity will include standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, sitting, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Ability to lift and move 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds. The vision requirements are close, distant, depth, and ability to adjust focus.
Position type and expected hours of work:
This is a non-exempt part-time position paid hourly by class rate. This position requires ability to work mornings, nights, and weekend hours.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
